Drilling Update - Press Release
Drilling Update – Paris silver prospect, South Australia
Five diamond drill holes (PPDH1-4 and 6) and six reverse circulation percussion (RCP) drill holes (PPRC1-6) are completed on Line 7, confirming the potential for extensive, shallow and high-grade silver mineralisation within the large Paris prospect.
Further intersections of strong visual mineralisation in addition to the previously reported massive sulphide in PPDH2 raise the potential for a high-grade silver zone within the Line 7 cross section.
Prior aircore intersection of 4 metres at 1,052 grams per tonne silver (g/t Ag) to bottom of hole PLAC107 potentially extended by a 19 metres intersection of visible mineralisation in RCP hole PPRC3 that twinned and drilled deeper than the earlier aircore hole.
An extensive program of RCP drilling has commenced testing under multiple and widespread aircore intersections along large strike extensions north and south of Line 7.
Drill samples are being progressively submitted for assay with the first results still expected at the end of January.
Metals explorer Investigator Resources Limited (ASX Code: IVR) today announced further positive visual results for on-going drilling at the Paris silver prospect on the Eyre Peninsula of South Australia.
Strong visible mineralisation continues to be intersected around prior aircore hole PLAC107 that finished in 4 metres at 1,052g/t Ag. These new visual intersections of 7 to 10 metres downhole thickness indicate a high grade silver zone of at least 80 metres width across section (Figure 1). Elsewhere, multiple intersections of lower tenor sulphide mineralisation are interpreted to be of flat-lying sheets of more moderate but still highly prospective mineralisation extending away from the high-grade zone and across at least 400 metres of the Line 7 cross section.
